This weekend was an extreme success for our family on so many levels! Not only did we meet so many great people this weekend, but we had such an enjoyable time. It was awesome how friendly and laid back everyone was. It was our first weekend of shows. All of our hard work as a family paid off. Denise spent so much time in the ring with both Rock Angel and Prime with Paula at Oak Grove. The kids reinforced what the puppies learned at their Wednesday obedience classes with Miss Paula, and I did my best to do the little things like walking them at least 3 times a week for 2 miles at a time (the walks were more for me anyways:) ) . The competition for American Pit Bull Terriers was insane! There were 5 Champions and 4 Grand Champions. Everyone of them were gorgeous. Thank you to all of the other handlers for the help. We made so many great friends over the weekend. It’s not often that you find an environment where your biggest competition become your greatest friends. We were asked a few times over the weekend, “Did you get bit yet?” We didn’t know what they were talking about until we had time to slow down and ponder over the events of the weekend. The answer is, “Yes!!”, we were bit by the Show Bug:) We can’t wait till our next show. Rock Angel accumulated the necessary 100 points and 1/3 of her Major Points necessary to earn Champion! Prime unfortunately was competed in the wrong class. He was 4 and 5 days too young to be competing in Puppy Class and was supposed to be competed in Novice Class which of course does not earn points. It’s ashame too, because if he was allowed to compete in Puppy Class he would have been championed. He won everything all weekend except all of the Best of Breeds and one Best of Winners. We will keep our chin up and look forward to the next competition. At least we know we are on the right track:)

February 21, 2010. Bomber Bullies’ Rock Angel with Soria Kennel’s GRCH JaBar (Middle) and Maltsy’s Show Kennel’s GRCH Tyce (Left). Rock received 1/3 of her necessary Majors and all 100 of her points to earn her championship after this weekend’s events. She won Best Puppy Female all 4 shows, Best Female all 4 shows, and Best of Winners once. We are extremely proud of her accomplishments this weekend. |

May 29, 2010: Louisiana Bully Expo: We had a great time this weekend in Mandeville, La. We would like to thank Lisa and Jesse for hosting such an impressive event. Rock Angel placed second in Classic. This was our first ABKC Event, and we learned a lot this weekend of which we will apply to our next show. |
